As Scheme Project Manager you will be working very closely with a number of the project managers on a major re signalling project, tasked with supporting them and taking on specific tasks to keep you learning and developing your management skills
The role is predominantly office-based although you will be required to travel to site to oversee delivery progress, and also feedback to the project throughout the key stages of the programme to ensure all targets are met.
To succeed in this position you must have the following skills and attributes:
Exposure to project delivery in a similar management support role.
A strong understanding of technical signalling projects.
Knowledge of Rail Engineering Standards, preferably having worked for Network Rail previously.
Leadership and communication skills.
Desire to develop your career through the Project Management route
