My client a non-governmental department body NGDB working in the UK engineering sector have an immediate requirement for a Communication and Stakeholder Manager.
The primary responsibility for this role is to support an urgent programme of work on behalf of the Welsh Government to deliver the safe and effective management of Coal Spoil heaps. This is a collaborative project task force involving the Welsh Government, the office of the secretary of state for Wales, the Coal Authority and other welsh partners
The key aspects of this role include providing communications and engagement support to the Coal Tip Safety Task Force
Develop a communications package
outline both internal and external communications
Handle key risks and issues as well as political interests and sensitivities related to the programme
Ensure key policy leads and stakeholders are engaged and informed
manage internal and external communications including media enquiries
deliver contributions to any Welsh Government bulletins and stakeholder updates
to own the process of content creation and statement sourcing from Government
Applicants should ideally hold a degree or equivalent and be able to demonstrate significant relevant experience of managing communication and engagement activities at a desirable level.
Experience of working in key communications roles on projects of a similar nature and a sound understanding digital engagement and producing content for technical or complex subjects would be a distinct advantage to applicants.
In return, my client are offering a salary of up to £43,220 as well as a generous public sector pension of 20.9% p/annum and a competitive package.
