This well known blue chip retail brand have embarked on a 10-year capital works programme to roll out retail stores, distribution warehouses and factory units within the South America region.
They initially require a Technical / MEPF Manager to represent them, the client, on a capital works roll out across Mexico and South America.
Whilst this position is centric to the building services discipline, it is expected that there will be other technical design, program, cost and general coordination requirements to facilitate smooth MEPF integration into the development.
The Technical / MEPF Manager will assist to develop strategic, best practice, buildable and economical technical design solutions and will provide focus on program, budget, compliance and change management to ensure the project is controlled and on track from an MEPF perspective.
Minimum 15 years construction and development, primarily in a building services (mechanical, electrical and fire) technical capacity
Good mobility and willingness to commute between Mexican cities as required
Demonstrates operating in different geographical environments for across various client, consultant or contractor backgrounds
Relevant experience in large scale commercial developments, ideally with relevant retail experience
Demonstrate experience in Client/Consultant and Contractor backgrounds
Experienced in cooperating with project staff and external partners
Demonstrate experience in good HSE practices and ensure these are implemented through design and construction
Good physical condition
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Experience with new sustainability initiatives and environmental good practices.
Capability to mentor, coach and develop staff. Immediately identifies problems and potential risks and looks to develop solutions.
Ability to solve problems and introduce innovation
Able to work off their own initiative; determined and self-motivated. Lead by example
