Senior BIM Coordinator – MEP

Location: Central London
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BIM Coordinator to join our team and immediately lead a prestigious project. A significant multidisciplinary, multi-use new build development in central London. The project consists of a 16-storey residential block and a 21-storey commercial tower, with a MEP value of £25 million.

You will be responsible for coordinating BIM deliverables across disciplines, ensuring compliance with BIM Level 2 standards, and managing a remote design team based overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee BIM coordination activities for the project.
  • Manage the remote design team based in Asia, ensuring clear communication, quality output, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal project managers, engineers, architects, and external consultants.
  • Maintain and manage the project’s BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure compliance with project-specific EIR (Employer’s Information Requirements).
  • Coordinate and clash detect models using Navisworks, ensuring smooth interdisciplinary integration.
  • Manage and maintain COBie data deliverables for the project.
  • Regularly update and distribute federated models.
  • Support the project’s construction and design phases through accurate model management.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to more junior team members where necessary.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience working with Revit on large-scale MEP projects.
  • Proficient in Navisworks Manage for coordination and clash detection.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drafting as required.
  • Strong understanding and experience in COBie data management and deliverables.
  • Solid working knowledge of BIM Level 2 standards and UK BIM protocols.
  • Demonstrable experience managing remote or overseas teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Formal BIM certification (e.g., BRE, RICS, or equivalent) would be advantageous.
  • MEP or Construction/Engineering-related degree or equivalent experience.
