About the Position

If you are a Chartered Structural Engineer looking for your next challenge our client would love to hear from you. They are currently seeking high-calibre and motivated Senior AND Principal Structural Engineers to join their expanding Civil and Structural Engineering team to deliver consultancy services and develop engineering solutions for their clients primarily within the water sector. You will work closely with our clients’ highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams throughout the organisation and their clients to efficiently deliver projects and provide high value consultancy services.

You have the option to be based out of any of our clients’ UK offices. (Guildford, London, Nottingham, Chester, Manchester, Leeds, York, Newcastle)

General Requirements

You will be expected to have experience of the civil / structures sector, and required to have sound knowledge of the water sector.

Demonstrating an aptitude for any of the following will be considered advantageous to any application:

Key Roles and Responsibilities

You are likely to work on a portfolio of different projects and will apply your acquired skills and knowledge in a range of environments. Your role and responsibilities will develop as your knowledge of our business increases, but initially you will be required to provide:

Successful contribution to and delivery of projects in a team environment, including

  • Personal responsibility and ownership of projects
  • Technical and commercial delivery
  • Management, liaison and co-ordination of the Engineers and Technicians in the team
  • Production of deliverables to programme timescales
  • Knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced members of the team
  • Interpretation and application of relevant client and industry standards

Qualifications, Technical Skills and Experience Required

The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  • Honours degree in relevant field required
  • Chartered Engineer (MICE, MIStructE).
  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Knowledge of the water sector
