Fire Engineer

A leading Building Services and Energy Engineering Consultancy that has been established for over 40 years, who are a multi-award winning business and regarded as one of the industry leaders, now require a Fire Engineer to join them.

As the Fire Engineer you will join a team that is highly regarded in the industry as part of an extremely specialised group leading in building performance and Fire Engineering. You will need to apply your technical knowledge and skills as an individual contributor projects and as a leading innovator the field.

The Fire Engineer will be involved in assisting with proposal writing and meeting Clients. You will be managing projects, developing fire strategies, completing evacuation modelling, CFD modelling plus fire safety and risk assessments. Working closely with your team to ensure you achieve the best results.

Being the Fire Engineer you will be client facing and able to manage and deliver designs for a range of projects, support the work of fire protection engineers, and be technically well rounded and able to offer the benefit of your experience to grow and develop the team around you.

For this role of Fire Engineer you will need experience working within the built environment sector managing your own projects and client base with complete autonomy, Chartered (or working towards) and able to support and encourage others in attaining theirs. It will be a great advantage for to have:

• Knowledge in fire engineering design and the various Regulations / British Standards
• Experience of CFD / zone modelling
• Able to write and review reports
• An understanding of qualitative design reviews (QDR)
• An understanding of site inspections and risk assessments Strong interpersonal skills
• Active Listener
• Communication skills
