General Foreman/Woman – Thames Water and Severn Trent Water Framework

Location: Multiple vacancies across the Thames Water and Severn Trent Water Framework

Job Type: Permanent or Contract

Salary/Rate: Permanent – £45,000-£50,000 + Company vehicle & package, Contract – £300-£350 p/day

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Foreman/Woman to join their operations team for their Thames Water and Severn Trent Water Framework. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Agent to coordinate the safe management of a section of work on major projects or control all site activities on a smaller project, ensuring compliance with HSQE, programme and budget requirements.

As the General Foreman/Woman, you will report directly to the Site Agent and be responsible for coordinating and controlling the initial site set-up, actively installing systems and procedures. You will also rigorously apply and enforce methods and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of resources. In conjunction with the Site Manager, you will appraise the security risk to all Thames property under your control and install security levels commensurate to the relative values. You will actively support the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with Thames water safety policies. You will also work to method statements and risk assessments and ensure compliance with all HS&E policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you should have an ONC or HNC in a Construction discipline and hold SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certifications. Preferably, you should also have confine space training and experience within the water treatment industry (Non-Infrastructure).
