Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer

My client is a national Engineering Consultancy that is regarded throughout the industry as a market leader. Due to recent successes and project wins they require an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join them and help ensure the successful delivery of national design projects.

Important – Must have a strong written and verbal communication skills, plus a good technical knowledge of Electrical Building Services and the design process in construction.

This Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer will ideally educated to degree level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent with ambitions of working toward becoming a Chartered Engineer. With strong technical knowledge and experienced in the use of cable sizing and lighting design software packages.

As the Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer you will be working on a variety of projects from our current portfolio and will work under the supervision of the project manager and the senior engineer(s) responsible for the particular project being undertaken. You should have previous design experience and will be using packages such as Amtech, Cymap and Dialux.

Being the Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer will need to be able to work closely with clients, closely with clients, architects and other members of the professional team you will take an active role in establishing the brief of projects.

The need is for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer who is an enthusiastic self-motivated person that can work on own initiative and seek assistance when required, organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met. Plus provide project support for varied project workload, developing and specifying applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.

The need is for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer who is an enthusiastic self-motivated person that has:

• Knowledge of assurance processes, codes of practice, standards and regulations
• Some experience in design planning, resourcing and fee planning
• Ability to liaise and co-ordinate with clients, architects and all other members of the design team
• Strong checking abilities and a good attention to detail

For this role of Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer you will need to manage your own time with regard to the client’s duties, where punctual project delivery is essential, for which you will be offered good salary and package.
