A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer based in Derby. The Lead V&V Engineer will take part in major developments by proving the design is fit for purpose, through Verification, Integration and Test activities.


The successful candidate will work closing with Test and Commissioning to ensure seamless integration and alignment between inter company and on-site testing activities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform and report on allocated verification, integration, and test activities
  • Manage configuration and change management cycle related with V&V activities
  • Define verification methodology for selected deliverables
  • Define test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities
  • Contribute towards discussions on strategy, scheduling and budget, and share progress, results and issues during execution with the V&V Manager

Essential Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or scientific topic
  • Understanding and experience in software coding
  • Good analytical skills
  • Proficient use of English language


  • Design and data preparation processes understanding
  • Engineering and system working background
