An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Point Operating Equipment Engineer based in Hatfield. The Point Operating Equipment Engineer will report to the Product Group Manager.
Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with Design Engineers to provide solutions to customer requirements and then prove these solutions in field tests.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide solutions to customer requirements and prove solutions in field tests
- Communicate real requirements and practical technical solutions to customers and other teams
- Management of safe precision movement of large heavy components
- Work closely with the design centre and overseas sub-contractors
Essential Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Practical understanding of mechanical principals and material properties
- Understanding of mechanical production processes
- Experience or understanding of hydraulic systems
Desirable:
- Knowledge of environmental protection of materials
- Experience or understanding of drawings and drawing control systems
