An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safe Work Manager. The Safe Work Manager will report directly to the Rail Safety Critical Manager and will under the new 019 standard.

Role:
The successful candidate will play a critical role being appointed as Worksite Person in Charge by the project when worksites are assessed and deemed to be complex.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Monitor PPS and identify complex worksites
  • Liaise with the client and other principle contractors during the planning stage
  • To comply with, undertake and promote all relevant Environment, Health & Safety measures, responsibilities, and activities
  • Compose shift reports to a standard that ensures compliance with audits
  • Write and deliver 019 briefings as required

Essential Requirements:

  • A valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certificate
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements
  • OLEC1
  • ALO Responsible Manager

Desirable:

  • Manual Handling
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Critical thinking and decision making
