Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in Water & Wastewater infrastructure or treatment schemes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the planning, design, and construction of clean water and/or wastewater infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects. The role requires expertise in a range of civil engineering skills, including project management, team leadership, and technical proficiency in water/wastewater treatment and/or water/wastewater networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage water and/or wastewater infrastructure or treatment projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Lead a team of engineers and designers in the development of project plans and designs, ensuring that they meet client requirements and comply with relevant regulatory standards.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight to the team, ensuring that the designs are technically sound and cost-effective.
• Providing technical input to Project Definition Briefs
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that their requirements are incorporated into the project design.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders, summarizing project progress and outlining any issues or concerns.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional engineering certification (e.g. CEng) is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Water & Wastewater infrastructure or treatment schemes.
• Strong technical knowledge and proven track record in the planning, design, and construction of Water & Wastewater projects.
• Excellent project management, team leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
