Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer
Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Newcastle
Type: Permanent, Hybrid

About the Role:

Our client is looking for an experienced and driven Senior Civil Engineer to join their team in Newcastle. You’ll play a key role in delivering projects as part of a major capital investment programme. The role offers the opportunity to provide technical solutions, mentor junior engineers, and support Project Managers in delivering cost-effective and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical solutions and advice for water sector projects
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
  • Support Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure delivery of projects within cost, schedule, and quality standards
  • Ensure all projects meet both client and internal expectations in terms of technical standards and quality

What Our Client is Looking For:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered or Incorporated membership in a relevant engineering institution (e.g., ICE, CIWEM)
  • Previous consultancy experience is preferred
  • Experience in one or more technical areas:
    • Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management
    • Trunk Mains and Large Diameter Pipeline Design
    • Service Reservoirs
    • Clean Water Treatment
  • A commitment to client focus and service excellence
