Are you an experienced Surveyor looking for a new challenge? My Client is seeking a talented and dedicated professional to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will work alongside an assistant, utilising a range of survey techniques and equipment to gather essential data for diverse client projects. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in various types of surveys, including overhead lines, topographical, engineering, and building surveys. Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Cat and Genny surveys is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct a variety of surveys, including Overhead Line (OHL) surveys to ENATS 43-125 standards, routing proposed OHLs, access route surveys, and topographical surveys in line with RICS standards.
– Perform GPS surveys and create existing substation layout surveys, 3D model surveys for tower downleads, substation entries, and tower geometry verification.
– Assess risks associated with existing OHL poles and equipment and set out proposed structures for OHLs and substations.
– Ensure all survey equipment is correctly maintained and calibrated to ensure the highest data accuracy.
– Report any Health & Safety concerns, such as issues with tower verticality, to clients promptly.
– Lead and train Survey Technicians, ensuring effective communication and smooth workflow.
– Liaise with landowners and other stakeholders as needed.
– Download and organise raw data into the central database and ensure the survey equipment is charged and ready for site visits.
– Complete all necessary training, including Health & Safety requirements, and maintain accurate daily timesheets.
– Ensure company vehicles are clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
– Produce accurate plans and drawings that meet varied client specifications.
– Support the Survey function with various ad hoc tasks as needed and comply with all Health & Safety policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
– A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above.
– At least 3 years of relevant surveying experience.

– Ability to lead by example and take responsibility for performance.
