Josh Hill is a Lead Principal Consultant at Advance TRS, specialising in rail permanent way (P-Way) and rail civils recruitment across the UK and Ireland. With more than 14 years of recruitment experience, Josh has built an extensive network of clients and candidates, primarily supporting contract recruitment across major rail infrastructure projects.
Working in a 360-recruitment role, Josh partners with contractors, consultancies and infrastructure organisations to source specialist talent for complex rail and civil engineering programmes. Covering both the UK and Ireland, he has developed a reputation for his relationship-led approach, built on trust, open communication and a genuine commitment to creating long-term partnerships. Josh particularly enjoys working with clients and candidates over many years, supporting careers and projects as they evolve and building relationships that stand the test of time.
Throughout his career at Advance TRS, Josh has played a key role in delivering recruitment solutions for some of the industry’s most significant projects, such as the London Underground’s Four Lines Modernisation (4LM) programme, as well as supporting major infrastructure works in Northern Ireland with Babcock, including the landmark Belfast Grand Central Station project.

Outside of work, Josh is known as something of a quiz genius and enjoys playing cricket, socialising and spending time with friends and family.
