Senior Principal Electrical Engineer – Water

Location: Southampton, Brighton, London, Reading or High Wycombe
Salary: £60,000-£70,000 + bonus & benefits

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Electrical or EICA Engineer looking for a role where you can have greater technical influence?

Advance TRS are working with a leading engineering consultancy that is continuing to invest and grow across the UK water sector. With a strong pipeline of major water and wastewater projects, they are looking for a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to join their established team.

The Role

Working across a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, you will take a senior technical role from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of electrical and EICA designs across complex water and wastewater projects
• Providing technical direction and ensuring high engineering standards across projects
• Producing and reviewing key deliverables including Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, specifications and control philosophies
• Working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Supporting technical reviews, design workshops and project delivery
• Mentoring and developing engineers within the wider Electrical team
• Contributing to client relationships, framework delivery and the continued growth of the team

About You

Ideally, you will have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
• Strong Electrical/EICA design experience
• Experience leading complex engineering projects or providing technical direction
• A good understanding of electrical design standards and technical governance
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of other engineers
• Strong client and stakeholder communication skills
