Engineer to Associate | South East & East of England | Multiple Opportunities
Multiple opportunities available following recent framework awards
I’m working with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that has recently secured a number of significant frameworks, creating several opportunities within its growing Clean Water team.
The business delivers a diverse range of infrastructure projects across the UK regulated water sector, as well as programmes within aviation, energy, rail and transportation and selected international projects. This offers the opportunity to work across a genuinely varied project portfolio rather than being focused on a single client or programme.
They are looking for experienced Clean Water Modellers and Clean Water Engineers from Engineer through to Associate level, with opportunities available across several locations in the South East & East of England.
The role
Depending on your background and level of experience, you could be involved in:
- Clean water network modelling, hydraulic analysis and model development.
- Investigating network performance, capacity, operational issues and investment requirements.
- Water network engineering and design.
- Mains replacement and rehabilitation programmes.
- Trunk main projects and network reinforcement.
- DMA design, analysis and optimisation.
- Pressure management and PRV projects.
- Water supply and distribution network planning.
- Feasibility studies, option appraisal and solution development.
- Supporting clients with asset investment and network improvement decisions.
- Preparing technical reports and project deliverables.
- Working alongside engineers, modellers, GIS specialists and other technical disciplines.
- At more senior levels, leading technical delivery, managing projects, undertaking QA/checking and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
About you
They are interested in hearing from candidates with experience in clean water modelling, water network engineering or a combination of both.
Relevant experience could include:
- Clean water network modelling and hydraulic analysis.
- Water network engineering, design or asset management.
- Mains and trunk mains.
- DMAs and pressure management.
- Network reinforcement and capacity assessments.
- Water supply and distribution networks.
- Model build, calibration and verification.
- Network planning, operational or design studies.
- Experience with InfoWorks WS, Synergi, EPANET, InfoWater or similar modelling software.
You don’t need to have followed a traditional modelling career path. Candidates from a civil engineering or water network engineering background, particularly those with experience across mains replacement, trunk mains, PRVs, DMAs, network improvement or related clean water projects, are encouraged to apply.
For Principal and Associate opportunities, experience of technical leadership, project delivery, client management and mentoring less experienced engineers/modellers would be advantageous.
The opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join an established technical team at an exciting point in its growth, with multiple new frameworks recently secured and a strong pipeline of work ahead.
The breadth of the business means there is potential to gain exposure to projects across the water sector and wider infrastructure markets, with opportunities to develop technically, work on varied projects and progress your career within a large multidisciplinary environment.
Multiple positions are available across the South East and East of England, with hybrid working arrangements available depending on the role and project requirements.
If you are an experienced Clean Water Modeller or Clean Water Engineer and would be interested in hearing more, please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
