FOREMAN – UTILITIES | DUBLIN AIRPORT

Advance TRS is recruiting a Utilities Foreman on behalf of our client to support the delivery of the €265m West Apron Vehicle Underpass project at Dublin Airport.

This is an opportunity for an experienced, hands-on foreman to take responsibility for utilities delivery on a major infrastructure scheme within a live airport environment.

WHO YOU’LL BE JOINING

Our client is an international engineering and construction group delivering major infrastructure projects worldwide.

You’ll join the team constructing a new underpass beneath an existing runway and taxiways, providing a dedicated connection for airside vehicles between the airport’s eastern campus and West Apron. With completion scheduled for 2030, the scheme offers substantial technical challenges and the opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure project.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Site Agent – Utilities, you’ll supervise the day-to-day delivery of utilities diversions, installation and associated demolition and construction activities.

You’ll lead site crews and subcontractors, coordinate resources and keep works progressing safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards, while working around airport operational constraints.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Supervise direct labour and subcontractors delivering utilities diversions, installations and associated civils works.
* Plan daily activities against the short-term programme, allocating labour, plant and materials effectively.
* Coordinate works with construction engineers, adjacent trades, suppliers and logistics teams.
* Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring crews understand risk assessments, method statements and site requirements.
* Maintain compliance with HSEQ standards, permits, airport access requirements and airside procedures where applicable.
* Check works against drawings, specifications and inspection and test plans, supporting inspections and addressing defects.
* Monitor productivity, identify constraints and support recovery planning or resequencing where required.
* Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports, resource records and inspection documentation.
* Support handover, snagging and close-out activities.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll have a trade background and significant experience as a Utilities Foreman, with a proven record of supervising utilities diversions and installation.

Experience on major civils or construction projects is essential. You’ll need to be comfortable with substantial project environments, coordinating multiple work fronts and taking practical ownership of daily delivery.

Essential requirements include:

* Proven experience supervising direct labour and subcontractors.
* A strong understanding of construction drawings, method statements and work sequencing.
* Experience leading crews in safety-critical environments.
* Valid Safe Pass and CSCS Supervisor / Safety Supervisor certification, or equivalent.
* Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland.
* Willingness to complete five-year background screening and the ability to obtain airport security clearance.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Drainage, ducting, service diversions, groundworks and associated concrete works would be particularly relevant.

Previous airport experience is not essential, but experience delivering safely around live services, operational infrastructure and controlled access would be valuable.
