Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure

£45k to £53k + £4k car allowance (dependant on level) + private medical

A leading global consultancy is growing its UK Infrastructure cost team and is looking for personable, enthusiastic and energetic Quantity Surveyors to join them. You’ll work across a variety of client and internal projects, with real scope to make a difference to UK infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

• Building friendly, professional relationships with clients, colleagues and project partners
• Administering contracts in line with project objectives and policies
• Monitoring, forecasting and reporting cost accurately through to completion
• Managing cost variance and contract cash flow, making sure applications are accurate and on time
• Working with client and contractor teams on KPIs, programme performance, cost control and value engineering
• Managing contract change within governance and best practice
• Improving the accuracy of forecasts and budgets
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
• Leading people and commissions as you grow

What you’ll need

• NEC contract experience (essential), ideally NEC3 Option C
• Experience across cost management, change control, valuation, risk, procurement, estimating and pricing
• Infrastructure experience in rail, air, highways, defence, energy, power or water
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, best-for-project attitude
• A degree in QS or a relevant subject, ideally chartered or working towards chartership
