Role
You will be expected to co-ordinate all Permanent Way aspects of construction and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver construction work safely to the level of quality expected by the company and the Client on site; to budget and in line with all relevant standards, processes and procedures.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Undertaking the role of supervisor for pway track works on projects in Northern Ireland
- Carrying out analysis, site visits and progress work as directed
- Controlling all onsite technical activities and man power
Essential requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of permanent way and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
- Safety Management training.
- Good knowledge and understanding of track standards, processes and procedures.
- Site based work previously

I am looking for a project manager with a good rail engineering background, to deliver engineering technical excellence on works in Dublin.
Role
You will have previous experience working in a similar role within programmes from a rail development aspect. This role would suit a project manager who has worked on rail and civil new work in a client sided or consultancy role.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ensure the rail engineering element of the works goes according with works development.
- Organise resources of people and materials to ensure delivery of works.
- Work in a team for across client interface.
- Assist with engineering design and plans as required
- Attend engineering reviews as required for allocated contracts.
Essential requirements:
- Rail engineering background
- Buildings project works at early stages
- Will need to have current or past project management experience

The Role
As a Utilities Design Engineer, you’ll be a key part of my client’s Irish infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership and coordination for utility design. You’ll work closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure efficient delivery, smooth integration with enabling works, and effective risk management.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a pivotal role in driving design quality and ensuring utilities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead utility design and coordination across major infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with clients, utility providers, and key stakeholders to achieve approvals and ensure alignment.
- Integrate utility designs with enabling and main works, ensuring constructability and programme delivery.
- Oversee the design approval process in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Identify and manage risks associated with diversions and new installations.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Promote innovation and value engineering within utility design.
- Report progress, risks, and technical challenges to project leadership.
About You
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartered status.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience leading utility design on medium to large infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of Irish utility regulations, codes, and approval processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in enabling works or early-stage project planning is highly advantageous.
