Responsibilities:
As a Payroll Clerk at Advance TRS, you will:

- Engage in Phone Conversations: Be comfortable and effective while communicating with stakeholders via phone.
- Demonstrate Strong Communication Skills: Effectively convey information and collaborate with colleagues.
- Process Weekly Payroll: Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Handle Timesheets: Save, manually add, and maintain timesheets in PDF and JPEG formats.
- Manage Invoices: Raise self-bills, umbrella invoices, and sales invoices when necessary.
- Handle Expenses: Add contractor expenses as required.
- New Starter Checks: Assist in the onboarding process for new employees and clients.
- Set Up Payment Runs: Facilitate payment processing efficiently.
- Handle Financial Transactions: Take payments and handle BACS formatting.
- Customer and Contractor Queries: Address inquiries by phone or email professionally.
- Collaborative Attitude: Proactively seek assistance and contribute to a collaborative team.
Qualities and Experience:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs (Teams, Excel, and Word).
- Understanding of tax codes and payment types (umbrella, limited company, IR35, and PAYE).
- 1-2 years of payroll experience with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Quick adaptability to new systems.
- Strong organisational skills, including effective time management.
- A team-player mindset.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- Proactiveness and the ability to multitask.
Experience Required:
- 1-2 years of payroll experience.
- The capability to provide evidence of exceptional organisational skills.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced team environment with changing policy procedures.
