Mechanical Fitters – Contract
Location: Abingdon (On-Site)
Rate: £24/hour (Umbrella PAYE)
Duration: Until June 2027
We’re recruiting Mechanical Fitters for a long-term contract at a busy industrial site in Abingdon.
Duties
- Assembly and preparation of mechanical components
- Maintenance, modification, and installation work
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Supporting wider engineering teams to deliver projects
- Working to high standards of safety and quality
Requirements
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience in industrial/mechanical environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desirable: Vacuum systems or cooling systems knowledge
- Full-time on site
- BPSS clearance required (clearance can be obtained prior to start)
