In this key frontline role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of water treatment works, booster stations, and reservoirs. Using your mechanical and electrical expertise, you will play a vital role in keeping water treatment sites fully operational, helping to reduce pollution, ensure compliance, and deliver excellent service to customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Preventive Maintenance: Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and electrical systems across water treatment facilities.
  • Reactive Repairs: Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs on M&E equipment to minimise downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in line with environmental, quality, and H&S regulations, reducing pollution and maintaining compliance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Innovate and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance site operations.

Pay: Permanent £80,000 – £90,000, could consider a contractor £550-£600/ day Outside IR35

The Role:

We are working with a leading Ground works and RC Frames contractor based in Central London that are expanding their portfolio with several successful tenders set to begin towards the end of this year and into 2025.

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of new projects, ensuring successful delivery from inception through to completion. Responsible for managing site teams, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple Groundworks and RC Frames projects.

– Lead and support site teams to achieve project goals.

Commercial Manager for specialist civil engineering company working on 3 projects across Kent.

My client are a £215m turnover niche civils principle contractor who specialise specifically in tunnelling. They’re a family owned business will a well-established name in the industry using positive reinforcement with high expectations to encourage a high output work environment.

The Commercial Manager is expected to oversee a handful of projects concurrently which currently includes 3 spread across Kent and Surrey. You will direct a handful of Quantity surveyor’s on each project and report to the Commercial Director. As well as project management, you will also be expected to participate in the company’s business development and strategic panning. A great opportunity for a striving young professional to progress up the ladder of their career.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years exposure in the commercial industry including 2-3 years minimum as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager having experience overseeing a small team. You will likely have worked within civil engineering industry with expertise across NEC contracts.

Job Role: Operations Manager

Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 + Benefits package

Location: Inverness

We are working with our client to source an experienced Operations Manager to strengthen their Delivery team at the Inverness office with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Head of Construction and your role will cover all North Region Scottish Water sites.

The role of the Operations Manager is to ensure the efficient delivery of a portfolio of projects by managing a team of Project Managers to deliver a programme of work within the Scottish Water SR15 and SR21 Framework’s.

Projects will range from £2.5M to £20+M and will be located across the North and East regions of Scotland.

This position is a key senior management role with accountability for the delivery of the projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover alongside an interphase with senior Client management.

In addition, the Operations Manager has the responsibility to manage, supervise and develop a team of direct reports.

  • Be responsible for the leadership and management of the nominated sector Operations Department Team and its function.

  • Participate in the development of the Joint Venture and Operational strategies and advise on any impact to JV Initiatives.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our reputable Design & Build client, working on a variety of Thames Water projects.

About the Role:

  • Ensure that safe working practices are adhered to by monitoring and mentoring the team and their supply chain.
  • Monitor the quality of sub-contract work to ensure work meets required Thames Water asset standards and project specifications.
  • Resolve site technical queries by liaison with the Design team and Project Engineering team for the best technical solution to meet project specifications.
  • Provide support to Site Managers with client liaison by attending meetings and reporting progress to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with the supply chain for the provision of technical support and information to ensure safe and efficient operation of their equipment to meet client needs.
  • Maintain a site diary to record work activities and resources used and to ensure a record of all work activities is maintained.

  • The mechanical supervisor will be responsible for equipment alignment checks, pressure testing and other mechanical quality assurance issues on site.
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification, Site supervisors’ qualification, CSCS card.
  • Water industry experience from a main contractor background – Essential.
