Jake Jessey leads the Energy & Renewables Division at Advance TRS, specialising in recruitment across the UK power sector within the 11kV to 400kV Transmission & Distribution space.
With 29 years of experience in recruitment, Jake brings deep sector knowledge across energy, engineering, and the built environment. A qualified Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (FIRP), he combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of the roles, systems, and complexities that underpin major infrastructure projects.
Partnering with design consultancies, EPCs, and contractors, Jake supports critical transmission and distribution programmes by placing engineers, project professionals, and commercial specialists into key roles. His focus is on building long-term relationships and genuine sector expertise, positioning Advance TRS as a trusted partner within the energy and renewables market. He has successfully developed the division into a recognised specialist offering, securing repeat business with key clients.
Jake’s sector expertise spans power transmission & distribution, offshore and onshore wind, wave and tidal generation, solar, and subsea cables. His knowledge covers a wide range of disciplines, including Structural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, OHL, Naval Architecture, and Geotechnical engineering.
Known for his consultative, relationship-led approach, Jake also plays a key role in mentoring and developing recruitment professionals, sharing his experience to strengthen teams and delivery capability across the business.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his two sons in their interests, getting out with the dog, and supporting his wife in her business.
