Senior Authorised Person (SAP) – SSE/SSEN Authorised

Im recruiting for a leading firm, which specialises in power projects from LV up to EHV, great benefits and exciting projects.

Essential Requirements

• Must currently hold, or have previously held, SSE/SSEN Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation under SSEN Safety Rules.
• Authorised to operate on 132kV networks as a minimum.
• Experience issuing and receiving safety documentation, including Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitation of Access documentation.
• Proven experience carrying out HV switching, isolation, commissioning, and outage activities on live electrical networks.
• Strong understanding of SSEN operational procedures and safety rules.
• Experience working on transmission and/or distribution substations.
• Ability to work independently and make operational decisions within a live network environment.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Requirements

• SSE Category 2 and/or Category 3 Authorisation.
• Authorisations with additional DNOs or National Grid.
• Experience on 275kV and/or 400kV systems.
• Substation construction, commissioning, or maintenance experience.
• Previous experience supporting major transmission or renewable energy projects.
