Crossrail: Four in 10 signal test scenarios fail to pass
Crossrail is still grappling with a number of signalling issues after it was found that 40% of test scenarios carried out to date have failed to pass. In a report submitted to the London Assembly this month, Crossrail stated that of the 106 tests of train and signalling software configurations undertaken at Crossrail’s testing facility in Chippenham near Bath, 60 passed, with 46 failing, representing a 57% success rate. New train station part of £218m Chelmsford regeneration
As part of a major £218m regeneration of Chelmsford, a new train station is set to be constructed to improve transport infrastructure in the area. Contractors sought for £1.3bn Portsmouth harbour development
Portsmouth City Council is looking for contractors to take on its £1.3bn waterfront expansion. The development, which would involve land reclamation, would transform Tipner Peninsula, located to the east of Portsmouth Harbour, into a new district called Tipner West. Read more…
