The Role

Are you a commercially strong Senior Quantity Surveyor with an M&E background, looking for a standalone project delivery role on a secure site?

We are recruiting for a Senior QS to lead the M&E commercial delivery of a £30m commercial build project on an MOD site in Berkshire. Working as the standalone Senior QS on site and reporting into a Senior Commercial Manager, you will take full commercial ownership of the package- covering office development and potential specialised hangar structures under an NEC contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Commercial Project Delivery: Take end-to-end commercial responsibility for a £30m M&E commercial build package.

• Contract & Change Management: Manage applications for payment, compensation events, and variations in accordance with NEC terms to maximise entitlement.

• Subcontract Management: Oversee subcontract accounts from procurement, valuation, and variation management through to final account settlement.

• Financial Control & Reporting: Maintain precise commercial records, manage risk and opportunity schedules, and provide accurate cost-to-complete reporting to senior stakeholders.

• Operational Collaboration: Work closely with the on-site operational delivery team to drive commercial awareness and profitability.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria:

• M&E / MEP Expertise: Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS within an M&E contractor environment.

• Security Clearance (Crucial): Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC). Candidates with active SC Clearance or a clear UK residency history will be strongly prioritised.

• Contract Knowledge: Practical understanding of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.

• Qualifications: Degree, HNC, or equivalent industry experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.
