Assistant Landscape Architect

Our client, a long-standing Architectural practice with a steadfast reputation in the industry has recently opened a brand-new office in Central Guildford. In line with their vision for the business, the firm has established a new Landscape Architecture division and are consequently looking for an Assistant Landscape Architect to join their team.

As the selected Assistant Landscape Architect, you would have the opportunity to contribute to a fantastic array of projects, mostly within the UK residential sector. This person would benefit from working closely with experienced professionals across the Landscape and Architecture disciplines and would have the opportunity to be supported on their Pathway to Chartership.

As the selected Assistant Landscape Architect, you would have the following responsibilities:

• Supporting the wider team toward the successful delivery of landscape planning and design schemes
• Attending site visits
• Preparing and contributing to written reports, including Landscape Assessments, and Design and Access Statements
• Creating landscape designs such as Masterplans, Hard and Soft Landscape Drawings and Details

To be considered for this position your experience should include:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, or a closely-related field
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a Landscape team
• Proficiency in a range of relevant software including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and MS office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A passion for excellent design and eye for detail
• Excellent organisational skills

Our client is offering a salary in the region of £25,000-30,000 (commensurate with experience) for this role, as well as a fantastic array of benefits, including Private Healthcare, Paid Professional Subscriptions, a minimum of 23 days holiday (+ 2/3 days for Christmas shutdown), as well as paid parking in Guildford centre.
