Geotechnical Assurance Engineer (I&M)

An excellent opportunity has just become available to work on HS2 in a long-term contract position to work as an Instrumentation and Monitoring Geotechnical Assurance Manager.

The role will be based on site between Greatworth and Southam. The position will require a strong site presence and candidates must be able to drive.

Key requirements:

• Responding to TQ’s and also field change requests
• Review and accept WPP and ITP’s
• Review I&M data frequently , undertake QA checks and then compare with design assumption to confirm that HS2 performance is met
• Produce summary reports to accept compliance, wait or hold periods
• Produce as-built records
• Undertake inspections on site to I&M installation and then review installation records
• Manage and a team of engineers (I&M) to cover the full site (25km)
• Evaluate material acceptance testing, keeping track of frequency and results
• Carry out site inspections for geological logging, mapping and geotechnical testing

Required experience:

• Degree in either Geotechnical Engineering or Geology
• Must have significant experience post-grad, ideally on major projects
• Ideally experience design side

Job conditions

• Long-term contract role
• £400-450 Inside IR35
• Permanent candidates will also be considered too
