Are you a Project Manager with a strong, technical background, looking for new and exciting projects to deliver on?

If so, my client has an exciting position within their Capital Design and Delivery department where they are looking for a Project Manager to join the HS2 Diversions Delivery Team.

Based in either their Derby or Coventry office, you will be reporting directly to the Lead Project Manager, the Project Manager will be accountable for delivering on key project KPIs to ensure the successful delivery of the HS2 diversions programme. The HS2 programme compresses of significant water and waste diversions which enable the main civil works to proceed. You will lead an integrated team of staff and contractors to deliver a programme of works within HS2 Phase 1 and Phase 2a spanning Birmingham to Crewe.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Ideally degree qualified in a technical engineering or construction related discipline, you will be an experienced Project Manager with experience of leading programme teams containing both internal and external resources in delivering high risk, high complexity and high value projects. You will have experience of working on NEC projects, with a proven track record of cost planning and management, and budgetary responsibility. You will have a deep understanding of complex risk management principles, particular in relation to customers and other key stakeholders both internal and external. Ideally you will have experience on utility diversion projecrs and/or experience in the water, waste or utilities industries however this is not essential.

You will be a dynamic and collaborative individual with excellent communication and influencing skills. You will have a strong ability to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, and hold a relentless drive for continuous improvement, with the ability to innovate and anticipate unexpected issues and challenges as they arise.
