An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner based in London. The Project Planner will report directly to the Lead Planner/Planning Manager.

Role:
The successful candidate will manage the preparation and maintenance of project programmes using P6 Project Planning software.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Continuously monitor the programmes to accurately reflect progress and earned value
  • Develop comprehensive project programmes for UK SS&I projects
  • Identify critical paths and ensure action plans are developed and implemented
  • Provide accurate data to enable the Work Package Managers and Project Managers to ensure the project programmes will deliver customer and contractual requirements
  • Provide regular reports and feedback to management on project progress and critical issues

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in project planning/scheduling role, including resource and cost-loading/forecasting
  • Expert knowledge and experience of Primavera P6 Planning Software
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Knowledge and experience of the rail industry, particularly rail signalling
  • Understanding and experience of Earned Value Management
