OHL Design Engineer

My client, a leading provider of design solutions to the transmission and distribution industry, is seeking a talented engineer with 2 to 3+ years’ experience to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and check overhead line designs using industry-standard software.
• Deliver technical documentation considering key factors such as electrical clearances, structural upgrades, and construction constraints.
• Ensure design outputs meet statutory, CDM and industry standards.
• Work closely with Project Managers to deliver on time, within budget and to client satisfaction.
• Support and mentor junior team members while sharing technical knowledge across the organisation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the design process.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Engineering degree (Civil or Mechanical) – essential.
• 2-3+ years’ experience in overhead line design.
• Proficient in Power Line Systems software.
• Experience working within power line, telecoms or utilities sectors.
• Proven ability to manage workload effectively and raise risks where appropriate.
• Strong communication, documentation, and mentoring skills.
