Senior P6 Planner
Salary:
Up to £580 per day (Inside IR35, PAYE – dependent on experience)
Location:
Reading (Hybrid – on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Type:
Contract – 4 months
About the Role:
This is a short-term, high-impact contract role supporting the creation and development of a Primavera P6 database, standardising planning processes, and strengthening the overall planning function. You’ll lead by example while mentoring junior planners across a portfolio of 30-40 projects.
About the Client:
Our client is a leading consultancy involved in critical infrastructure delivery, particularly across capital programmes in the water sector. Their focus is on turning around challenged delivery environments and implementing best-in-class planning practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning across a portfolio of 30-40 projects using Primavera P6
- Develop and implement planning standards and templates
- Create and build out a Primavera P6 database
- Mentor and support junior planners
- Identify and drive improvements in challenged delivery environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders across capital and infrastructure schemes
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Proven Primavera P6 expertise across complex portfolios
- Experience in the water sector or relevant infrastructure projects
- Background in engineering; construction planning experience is a plus
- Strong grasp of NEC contract frameworks
- Exposure to AMP7/AMP8, treatment and network schemes
- Solid stakeholder engagement skills
