Job Title: Senior / Principal Hydrogeologist
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000+ (dependent on experience)
Location: Leeds (Potential other offices)
Type: Permanent, full-time, hybrid working available (min 3 days in office)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior / Principal Hydrogeologist with a strong background in groundwater modelling and groundwater resources (including geothermal and mine water) to support and lead the delivery of a wide range of environmental and water resource projects.
This is a senior technical and project leadership role within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment, offering the opportunity to work on impactful projects that support sustainability, climate resilience and long-term water security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership on groundwater and water resources projects, delivering sustainable and resilient solutions.
- Lead project governance, quality assurance and technical delivery.
- Manage projects end-to-end, including contracts, budgets, programmes, change control and risk management.
- Support and lead successful tender and business development activities.
- Champion technical innovation to improve efficiency and quality of delivery.
- Mentor and support early-career team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Act as an effective communicator across multidisciplinary project teams.
What Our Client is Looking For:
- Significant experience in groundwater modelling and groundwater resources projects.
- Background in geothermal and/or mine water projects is highly desirable.
- Experience delivering both desk-based and field-based projects of varying scale and complexity.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and the water environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Eligibility:
- First and second degree (or equivalent) in geology, earth sciences or an environmental-related discipline.
- Chartered status or working towards professional chartership preferred.
- Right to work in the UK.
