Role Overview

This role focuses on delivering technical power systems support across renewable generation and grid infrastructure projects. You will work on system modelling, network studies, grid connections, and electrical design for a wide range of low-carbon energy developments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform power system studies (load flow, fault level, protection coordination, stability).

  • Support grid connection applications and compliance with network operator requirements.

  • Deliver modelling and analysis for renewable and grid infrastructure projects.

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and electrical designs.

  • Liaise with clients, network operators, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Support commissioning, testing, and system performance reviews.


Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Power Engineering or related discipline.

  • Experience in power systems analysis within utilities, renewables, or consultancy.

  • Familiarity with modelling tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD, or similar.

  • Understanding of UK grid connection and protection principles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Desirable

  • Experience with renewable energy developments or grid integration projects.

  • Protection engineering knowledge.

  • Chartered or working toward professional accreditation.
