Project Engineer – M&E / Building Services (Railway Buildings)
Contract | Inside IR35 | £500-£550 p/day | Birmingham (Hybrid)
We’re seeking an experienced M&E / Building Services Project Engineer to support a portfolio of UK railway building projects. This role is based in Birmingham with 1-2 days a week in the office and occasional site visits.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate M&E / Building Services packages across railway buildings.
- Manage contractors & consultants, technical queries, and compliance with railway standards.
- Oversee services such as M&E systems such as lighting, small power, LV, fire systems,
- Support assurance, inspections, and safe delivery in operational rail environments.
Experience Required
- Proven M&E / Building Services experience on railway buildings (stations, depots, operational buildings).
- Background with Principal Contractors or client-side rail organisations.
- Experience managing building services works up to £500k.
- Strong understanding of rail safety, standards, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
