Overview

An opportunity for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to take on a hands-on role within a specialist consultancy delivering complex maritime and coastal infrastructure projects. Work includes port developments, waterfront regeneration, flood defence schemes, and asset upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design from feasibility through to construction
• Specify and interpret ground investigations
• Design retaining structures, slopes, revetments, and earthworks
• Deliver solutions involving piled foundations and ground improvement
• Undertake analysis using Plaxis 2D, WALLAP and Oasys
• Liaise with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
• Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery
• Contribute to tenders and proposals

Requirements

• Master’s in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Chartered or working towards chartership
• Proven geotechnical design experience
• Familiar with industry-standard analysis software
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Practical, problem-solving approach
