Our client is able to offer hybrid working but it is expected that the successful candidate will be able to attend the office when required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of wastewater modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, including model build and verification, survey supervision and optioneering/design of solutions.

You will work as part of a team being involved in a variety of projects including model build and verification, using existing or new models to understand system performance and using the model to help the design of system improvements and enhancements to the Wastewater Network ensuring technical excellence and best practice to specification.

Requirements

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their technical team. The selected candidate will hold a senior position within the team and will be responsible for the design of geotechnical packages throughout the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and cost evaluations to the finalisation and verification of formal design packages for retaining solutions.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer position involves interpreting ground investigation and client drawings to produce comprehensive design reports. The candidate will be required to use modelling software to validate proposed solutions and work collaboratively with other members of the technical team to determine initial solutions and create the necessary CAD details.

Bridge Engineer

Croydon

Permanent – £35,000 – £45,000 (depending on level of experience)

My client is currently searching for highly qualified Bridge Engineer to join their Bridges and Civils team in the Transportation Practice division.

You will work closely with our client’s team in the South East to deliver a range of exciting and challenging projects and frameworks. These include the Croydon Area Remodelling Scheme (CARS), Civils Assessment Framework (CAFA), East West Rail Phase 2, High Speed 2, Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) Feltham Re-signalling, and other multi-disciplinary projects covering bridges, civils, highways, local transport, and rail, not only in the South East, but also throughout the wider UK.

Duties:

• Support the management of individual design packages and entire projects.
• Ensure project resourcing and financial control to achieve profitable delivery of schemes.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered within the set time frames and in accordance with my clients quality assurance systems.

Essential:

• Extensive experience in collaborating with major clients such as Network Rail, TfL, Local Authorities, Highways England, Developers, and/or Contractors.
• Possess a background in civil engineering design.
• Have an interest in delivering multi-disciplinary projects in either the highway or rail environment.
• Ideally, have experience working on projects at various stages of development, from feasibility studies to detailed designs.
• A balance of relevant industry experience, technical ability, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to support bids and tenders.
• A proven track record in conducting technical reviews of designs.
• Strong knowledge of relevant design standards, including Eurocodes, DMRB, MCHW, and those of Highways England and Network Rail.
• Capability to develop and agree on scopes, manage the internal technical supply chain, and deliver high-quality outputs within set timeframes and budgets.
• Excellent project management skills, commercial awareness, and financial control across a range of contract types. This includes the ability to manage stakeholders, such as specialist suppliers, independent checkers, and local authorities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues across various engineering disciplines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

Qualifications:

• BEng / MEng or MSc degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or near Chartered status and membership of the ICE or IStructE.

Team Administrator – Edinburgh

I am currently working closely with a leading construction business, privately and family run business, who operate across the UK and Ireland, to recruit for a Team Administrator to join their business.

As a team administrator you will be managing two projects simultaneously and be the main and primary contact for all administration on site. You will work closely with the main construction project team, but will also liaise with other sub contractors, clients, suppliers and head office team when required.

This is a permanent role. Main hours are 8am to 5pm. Flexible working and hybrid working is available.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Book travel and accommodation as required by the team
• Book meetings and arrange refreshments
• Provide weekly payroll submission based on collating data from labour allocation sheets
• Manage new starters and submit relevant information to the HR team
• Manage purchased, operated hire, off hires of material as required on site
• Raise material requisitions as required by the project team on the Coins system
• Check, manage and report and unmatched invoices
• Maintaining stationery levels and ordering as required
• Update Environmental Waste Management register,
• Maintaining training register with employees competencies and check for out of date, refresher requirements

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous administration experience in a similar construction, infrastructure sector is essential
• Payroll / commercial admin experience is beneficial
• Proactive work ethic. Willing to assist the team with requirements
• Organised and efficient
• Technically efficient and able to use various systems
