I am currently working with a leading and family run civil engineering business to recruit a talent acquisition specialist to join their Central London team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work with a busy and growing company on some prestigious projects UK wide.

As a talent Acquisition Specialist, you will join a team of specialists who are responsible for recruiting across the business. You will work closely with the recruitment team as well as the project team to identify requirements, resource and recruit positions. Although you will join the team to recruit for the business, there will still be agency involvement of which you will manage too.

This is a permanent position, based out of their Kings Cross, London office. This is a hybrid position, 2-3 days in the office.

As a TAS, you will be responsible for:

• Database management – Ensure the internal database system is kept up to date with correct information for candidate applications and CV interest, whilst following GDPR guidelines.
• Sourcing candidates – Use various sourcing techniques to identify, engage and attract candidates to the business. Techniques include job boards, Linked In, referral scheme, industry events etc.
• Engagement – Follow up on candidate applications and interest to the business. Conduct initial screening tests and discuss suitable prospects. IF no imminent or suitable roles, maintain relationship for future ones.
• Line manager contact – Work closely with the project team to identify hiring needs, project pipeline and requirements. Have a good understanding of project, scope and technical

This role will involve working on feasibility studies, computer analysis and engineering design, completion of technical tasks as appropriate to complete the works, site visits and liaison with clients, contractors, stakeholders and other professional bodies.

Requirements:

Qualifications –

• BSc/BEng/MEng degree level, engineering, geography, GIS, science related subject degree or equivalent experience.

Essential –

• Previous demonstrable experience in wastewater modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
• Experience of InfoWorks 2D / ICM, InfoNet/InfoAsset.
• Experience of GIS software: QGIS, MapInfo or ArcGIS preferred.
• A good understanding of UK water industry.

Job Role: Process Design Engineer (Clean Water)

Document Control / Site Secretary

Currently working alongside a family run business specialising in the rail and civil engineering sector. They are currently in need of a document controller / site secretary to join their business.

You will be required to be based on site as a function providing document Control and administration support. They have a number of projects around London and you will be visiting a number of sites depending on requirements.

You will look after 1 main site in Central London and visit two other smaller sites near by and will be required to split your week across all 3 sites, visiting them and supporting with all their project admin and document control requirements.

Job Role: Commissioning Engineer

Salary / Rate: £45,000 – £50,000 + competitive package

Are you ready to take your career to the next level, if so my client is looking for an Commissioning Engineer with experience within the water sector covering the Southern Water Framework.

About the Role:

As Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for planning, executing and documenting of commissioning and handover activities on projects and programme of works in a safe manner, fully in accordance with statutory, industry wide, company processes, systems, procedures and specifications.

You will:

• Update the Commissioning Plan execute commissioning in accordance with the plan.
• Prepare and maintain the commissioning programme and execute activities in accordance with the programme.
• Ensure application, along with all relevant information for Safe Control of Operations (SCOs) is made with adequate notice.
• Ensure compliance is maintained for all company related site activities.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests and ensure all issues identified are adequately closed out.
• Perform and document all inspections, testing and commissioning as required.
• Invite the SW Asset Integrator and Operations to testing and demonstrations as required
• Ensure the Asset Integration Manual is kept updated at all times.
• Carry out plant labelling to SW specifications.
• Provide all necessary information to the Technical Author for the preparation of the O&M Manual
• Collection of asset data
• Close out actions on the COM 4010 as required.
• Manage and supervise subcontractors as required.
• Organise and chair commissioning meetings. Prepare and distribute minutes.
• Prepare/review risk assessments and method statements as required.
• Communicate any delays or issues to the Commissioning Manager and Construction Manager
• Reviewing, updating and marking up of documentation to as-built/as-commissioned status.
• Keep accurate records of all key commissioning activities.
• Maintain the snagging list and progress the completion of all snags assigned.
• Perform all operation and maintenance activities until plant takeover.
• Overseeing of the 28-day reliability test and production of a takeover report
• Attend to plant callouts, including out of office hours and weekends up until plant takeover.
• Commission and test telemetry systems.
• Will be expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

My client is a Principal Rail Contractor who is well known across the UK and overseas. They work on medium and large rail infrastructure projects across the country and are regarded as highly reputable business. Due to their extensive work load/forward order book they are now seeking a Senior P6 Planner to join their Rail division.

Role:
Senior Planner reporting to Planning Manager and supporting a team of Planners. You will be working closely with commercial, design and site teams to manage a large programme/programmes of works for a Rail client.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop and maintain programmes incorporating resource loading/forecasting, materials planning, cost-loading and earned value forecasting and reporting
• Monitor the programmes prepared to accurately reflect progress and maintain accurate earned value and resource data for internal and external purposes
• Identify critical paths and ensure action plans are developed and implemented to maximise project quality, cost, and delivery objectives
• Manage/mentor a small team of Planners/Assistant/Graduate Planners) to successfully deliver projects assigned to the team
• Through accurate reporting on Work Package progress, co-ordinate all functional activity on the project and ensure that problems and bottlenecks are anticipated and resolved in a timely manner to prevent negative impact on the project

Essential Requirements:

• Extensive experience in a project planning / scheduling role, including resource and cost-loading / forecasting
• Extensive experience and expert knowledge of Primavera P6 Planning Software.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge and experience of working in a business process environment with an emphasis on project delivery (contractor side)
• Multidisciplinary experience of the Rail Industry

Desirable:

• Extensive experience of Earned Value Management
• Experience of Primavera Risk / Quantitive Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA)
• Knowledge and experience of Rail Signalling
