My client has an exciting opportunity for a number of Project Manager, to join their busy and expanding London Infrastructure business, supporting their clients deliver a range of water and Environment projects and programmes across London and the south of England.

Owing to the complex nature of the works involved, this role will be most suited to Project Managers from a civil, mechanical, electrical or process engineering background, ideally with previous water & Environment sector experience. NEC experience and APMQ accreditation is also preferred. Those with relevant project management experience to aligned Infrastructure engineering sectors considered.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

We are currently working with a tier one contractor to recruit for a Project Administrator/Document Controller to join our client’s team in their office based in Yorkshire. You will be the main point of contact for administration and document control for a £50m Network Rail framework across the LNE Route. The project will have several sites / cabins across the route and you will be the centralised contact managing all the document control for the project.

This is a dual role coordinating both administration and document control, however the role will be heavily focused on the document control aspect.

It is a 12 month freelance position paying £17-21ph LTD depending on experience. (There is an option to go PAYE, Umbrella or LTD)

Document Control

Document Controller required to join a large and high profile contractor on a fantastic project based in the borough of Camden, North London. You will be based in a lovely cabin, a 5 minute walk from the nearest tube station.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract to work on the duration of this project, until the end, however there is scope to progress onto other projects that the contractor may be awarded.

This contractor is working on a Network Rail project, part of a wider scheme for High Speed 2. Scope of works include building a new terminal and demolishing some existing platforms. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an exciting part of infrastructure in London currently!

This is a fixed term contract paying £28-35k plus package. Benefits include:

My client is looking for a process driven, organised, efficient and reliable document controller and administrator to join the team of 50 based on site in Cambridge. You will be working in a team with another document controller and office manager on site. You will report to the quality manager and office manager on site.

You will be working on a high profile, £80m re-signalling scheme for a large, high profile contractor in the UK.

This is a freelance position for 12 months possibly longer.

Rate is £15-£20ph through umbrella or LTD company, depending on experience.

Hours are 9am to 5pm. You will be based in a site cabin in Cambridge.

Previous admin and document control experience in the infrastructure sector is absolutely essential for this role, as you will be required to hit the ground running.

As part of this dual role role you will be:

  • Notifying document owners of upcoming dates to review and update documents in line with the register to complete documents in a timely manner
  • Managing the digital file usage and storage on the data management system – Sharepoint
  • Ensuring that agency time sheets are processed efficiently and accurately

About you:

  • Experience in a construction supervisory role.
  • Supervision of site works being carried out under an NEC ECC contract agreement.
  • Development of quality, inspection, testing and commissioning plans.
  • Working knowledge of the construction process especially in relation to reinforced concrete, piling and earthworks. MEICA experience beneficial.

  • Producing and reviewing a wide range of FRAs and ideally drainage strategies using MicroDrainage, Infodrainage and Causeway Flow;

  • River engineering and restoration experience would be beneficial;

  • Work with the team to share expert geotechnical knowledge with our clients civil design team and give ongoing project support as needed.
  • Help colleagues and clients with your technical skills.
  • Check project risks and take part in hazard workshops.
  • Team up with design managers and work with other design groups.
  • Put together and review ground investigation plans.
  • Visit sites during ground investigations and ask for lab tests when necessary.
