About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with a dynamic SME MEP Building Services Consultancy based in London. This is an outside IR35, contract role offering £45 per hour for a 6-month duration, with the potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in mechanical design engineering, with a proven track record of delivering building services projects in the residential and commercial sectors.
Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and other mechanical systems design.
Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Software Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or Hevacomp.
Knowledge of Regulations: Thorough understanding of relevant industry standards, codes of practice, and regulations (e.g., Building Regulations, British Standards, etc.).
Project Management: Experience managing projects, including liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in an accessible manner.
Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Looking for a Package Manager or experienced Sub-Agent to take ownership of major Structural Steel and Station Envelope packages (Roof, Cladding, Glazing) on a Tier 1 mega-project.
