Our client is actively looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer at a Principal grade (or Senior), to support a very healthy and growing pipeline of work.

The work will be typically related to substation projects but there may also be the opportunity to work on rail related projects as well.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a design consultancy
  • Some design experience within the power/energy market
  • Experience of monitoring compliance with design, statutory professional requirements
  • Experience of attending design review and constructability meetings with clients including Network Rail, Tier One/Principal Contractors as well as national and local authorities.
  • Ability to represent the company on site visits/surveys (sometimes in unsociable hours) in a professional manner.

Desirable:

  • A Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
