Position Objective:

  • Work with the team to share expert geotechnical knowledge with our clients civil design team and give ongoing project support as needed.

About the Role:

  • Managing the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design with that of other disciplines.

Job Role

The MEP Quantity Surveyor will report to the MEP Area commercial Lead for area.

The role of the Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing accurate and value generating input to projects. The role requires that all commercial aspects are carried out in accordance with the contract, company policies and procedures. This role may see you work independently or under the direction of a more senior Quantity Surveyor. The QS must be able to demonstrate the ability to function as a member of an integrated team.

My Client a design and build contractor to the UK water sector have an immediate need for a civil structural design engineer to join them on a contract basis outside IR35 for a period of 6 months

My Client a leading Design and Build consultancy are currently recruiting for a CAD Manager to join Their UK design team. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging and exciting projects designing excellent services and solutions for our wide client base within the UK Water Sector. Job Role: Senior Hydrogeologist

Type: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)

Key Purpose

To provide senior hydrogeological technical expertise for underground water sources (UGS) assets. This includes test boreholes (TBH) and access shafts (ACS). Support Water Assets Strategy and Planning, Water Supply Operations, Project Delivery, and Water Resource Plans. Conduct and maintain UGS asset condition and performance reviews to inform risk processes, asset needs, and business planning. Ensure compliance with water quality, supply-demand, security of supply, and environmental regulations.

Accountabilities

  • Lead site-specific UGS desk studies, field tests, and produce technical reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Facilitate and interpret down-hole UGS CCTV and geophysics investigations.
  • Survey and review UGS headworks, below ground asset conditions, raw water quality, and UGS performance data.
  • Maintain a structured UGS asset condition assessment framework, addressing risks, needs, and asset lifespan, and support associated risk meetings.
  • Identify UGS maintenance needs, assist the broader assets team in decision-making and business planning processes.
  • Provide hydrogeological support for UGS projects, attend project delivery meetings, and advise on asset information and potential risks.
  • Liaise with the Environment Agency and Local Authorities, and respond to technical or UGS-related queries both internally and externally.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years, with at least 3 years in a water company or water supply-related work. Additional experience required if lacking a relevant MSc.
  • Skills: Strong planning and project management abilities, excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with hydrogeological software, MS Excel, Word, and GIS tools like MapInfo/ArcGIS/QGIS.

Risk & Compliance

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of key regulatory bodies, their functions, and interactions with water companies.
  • Performance Indicators: Familiarity with KPIs, performance indicators, or outcome delivery incentives is beneficial.

Essential Qualifications

  • MSc in Hydrogeology
  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Earth Science with extensive relevant experience

Desirable Qualifications

  • Chartered status in a relevant field or willingness to achieve it.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work at Stansted Airport as a Construction Safety & Resilience Manager.

Role:

The successful candidate will provide guidance, support and advice to all Business Units on matters of construction health, safety, fire safety and resilience.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement interventions to control risks associated with construction ensuring that required actions are documented, tracked, implemented and reported through MAG’s governance processes
  • Cooperate with Enforcement Authorities and Regulators as required or requested where site visits are undertaken or following complaints or reported incidents
  • Lead in the development and implementation of systems, processes and tools to achieve MAG standards for HSF&R
  • Participate in supplier assessments and tender evaluations with Procurement and project delivery teams
  • Primary point of contact with Airport health, safety, fire safety and resilience teams relating to MAG’s incident manage

Essential requirements:

  • Strong working experience as a Health & Safety professional in a multi-disciplinary organisation, for five years minimum
  • Working knowledge of UK health, safety, fire safety and environment legislation
  • Certified member of a recognised professional body, e/g/ Institute of Occupational Safety and Health
  • Experience in or knowledge of project management with a particular focus on health, safety and fire safety throughout the project life cycle

Job Title: Wastewater Asset Planner

Location: Based at Chichester. 1-2 times per week in the Chichester office and 1-2 site visits in the Hampshire / Isle of Wight region per month.

Skills & Experience

  • Engineering or Environmental Honours Degree.
  • Asset Management qualification / professional association preferred
  • IT / technical modelling experience
  • Experience and technical expertise in a utility / asset management
  • Ability to evaluate and model complex regulatory & serviceability issues and information
  • Understanding of Water Industry regulatory framework and OFWAT’s business model
  • Proven self-management experience
  • Excellent communication and verbal and written reasoning skills
  • Highly numerate with competent IT skills

Main purpose of the role

Involvement in utilising our clients’ existing asset management systems and processes to establish industry-leading asset management practices, ensuring such processes that feed the Regulatory Business Plan become business as usual. Identifying and prioritizing asset needs using advanced asset planning tools, including scenario planning, modelling, and interpretation of results versus specific output and serviceability performance targets.

Main duties

  • Liaise with the Data team to ensure the Data Improvement programme delivers appropriate information to feed the asset planning system
  • Perform the asset planning process under the guidance of the Planning Manager, modelling scenarios and interpreting the investment requirements necessary to deliver the necessary Outputs and Serviceability performance to ensure the highest possible AMA score
  • Input to the development and optimisation of the Capital programme to deliver the above outputs and serviceability performance at the lowest whole life cost
  • Ensure the timely delivery of output briefs to the Solutions team
  • Maintain strong links with the Regulatory business planning team

The role demands an understanding of company drivers, outputs, and serviceability targets and the ability to understand the technical aspects of the relevant discipline. The role also requires high levels of analytical and IT skill to maximize the effectiveness of asset planning/modelling tools.
