Lead Planner

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Lead Planner in St Albans. Our client are a international construction and engineering company

Role:

The successful candidate will support lead the programme and planning management for the team in the preconstruction and construction phases.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop regular reports to feedback on progress and performance on a weekly and monthly basis
• Lead the development of the baseline contract programme, covering all aspects of design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover
• Responsible for developing a 4D graphical model where required or 2D phasing plans
• Engaging with the supply chain to develop the project programme
• Lead and coordinate with others in the duties under planning and programme management in the preconstruction process

Essential Requirements:

• Successful working track record of working with clients, contractors and other stakeholders on live construction projects
• Extensive knowledge of UK and EU legal framework, in particular contract management
• Advanced Primavera P6 Training Management costs and resources
• Advanced contract awareness, understanding JCT and NEC forms of contract

Desirable:

• Membership of relevant professional body
• Experience managing Planning teams
