Job Role: Mechanical CAD Technician – Water Sector.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Benefits.

Location: Bradford – Hybrid working

Our client is a reputable Design and Build Contractor in the UK Water sector who is looking to expand their existing team to bring on board a CAD Technician who is Mechanically biased.

About the Role:

The CAD Technician will be reporting to the CAD Team Leader and will be responsible for the creation of Computer Aided Design models and drawings for a variety of Clean and Wastewater projects. Will also be responsible for preparing Mechanical equipment and piping layout drawings using 2D AutoCAD, working alongside a team of multidisciplinary Design Engineers to ensure that the design is completed in accordance with the specification.

About you:

  • Competent user of 2D AutoCAD
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Packages
  • A background in Mechanical CAD Design – pipework, pumps, valves etc.
  • Having knowledge of the UK Water or Wastewater sector would be a strong advantage but is not essential for the role should your experience be from a Process Plant background.
