Job Title:
Civil Engineer – Wastewater Infrastructure

Salary: £40,000 – £75,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Brighton or Slough (hybrid working)
Type: Permanent, hybrid

About the Role:
Our client is expanding its detailed design team and is seeking a Civil Engineer with strong UK-based wastewater pipeline design experience.

This role focuses on the design and delivery of wastewater networks, rehabilitation schemes, and associated infrastructure assets.

For the first month, the successful candidate will attend the Slough office for induction and to embed with the team. After this period, the role will move to the standard hybrid working arrangement.

About the Client:
Our client is a growing UK-based engineering consultancy specialising in wastewater and water infrastructure design. They work closely with water companies, contractors, and regulatory bodies to deliver compliant and technically robust infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery & Design

Design wastewater networks including rising mains, trunk sewers, and gravity systems.
Support pipeline rehabilitation and renewal schemes.
Assist with feasibility studies and condition assessments of wastewater assets.
Ensure compliance with Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water UK standards, and relevant UK regulations.
Support the integration of new designs with existing networks and treatment facilities.
Assist with the supervision of technical drawings.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Liaise with water companies, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Attend technical meetings alongside senior engineers.
Support site visits, surveys, and inspections.
Provide technical input into construction methodologies and risk management discussions.
What Our Client is Looking For:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2-6 years of proven UK-based wastewater pipeline design experience.
Strong understanding of sewerage systems, rising mains, trunk sewers, and drainage hydraulics.
Experience working to Sewerage Sector Guidance and UK water industry standards.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, MicroDrainage, or EPANET.
Full UK driving licence.
