Electrician

Job Title: Electrician – Contract (12 Months)

Location– Tadley, near Reading

Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Electricians to support a 12-month M&E fit-out project on a series of modern office blocks.

This is a contract-based position, ideal for reliable and professional tradespeople. Work will be site-based, and due to limited public transport in the area, driving is essential.

• Start Date: Subject to successful clearance and induction

Responsibilities:

• Carry out all aspects of electrical installation and fit-out work on-site

• Work collaboratively with other M&E professionals and contractors

• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and project specifications

• Complete installation and commissioning of electrical systems

• Follow site instructions and adhere to project deadlines

Essential Requirements:

• ECS Gold Card (Electrician level)

• IPAF & PASMA certifications

• Own hand tools (including drills, drivers, etc.)

• DBS check (to be completed before start)

• Eligibility for BPSS clearance (Baseline Personnel Security Standard)

• Safety Critical Medical & Drug & Alcohol test (must be passed prior to site entry)

• Ability to drive to site (no public transport available nearby)

• Must pass a Trade Test as part of site induction

Preferred Attributes:

• Previous experience on large commercial or M&E fit-out projects

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
