Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to support the construction phase of a major infrastructure project. The role involves working as part of a small team, providing technical guidance, and ensuring design intent is correctly applied on site. A regular presence at the project’s site offices is required (3 days per week). Site offices are located around Coleshill and Kenilworth.

Key Responsibilities

• Geotechnical construction phase support, coordinating with technical leads and supporting junior staff.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans, witness selected site tests, and maintain clear, auditable records.
• Manage responses to site queries, field change requests, and non conformance reports, including internal assurance steps.
• Interpret instrumentation and monitoring data and recommend mitigation actions when needed.
• Carry out geological inspections, earthworks logging, and other site-based geotechnical assessments.
• Contribute to concise geotechnical feedback reports and help junior engineers develop their technical skills.

• Find practical solutions to site based design or construction issues.
• Collaborate with site teams and designers.

Job Details

• 6 month initial contract
• Outside IR35
• Pay rate between £350per day – £400 per day
