Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Engineer

An award winning and highly sought after International Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Consultancy that has been established for over 60 years and with strong client relationships that work on exceptionally varied and diverse projects, are looking to appoint an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer in Southampton.

Important – Must have a strong written and verbal communication skills, plus a good technical knowledge of Mechanical Building Services and the design process in construction.

This Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally educated to degree level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent with ambitions of working toward becoming a Chartered Engineer. With strong technical knowledge and experienced in the use of cable sizing and lighting design software packages.

As the Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer you will be working on a variety of projects from our current portfolio and will work under the supervision of the project manager and the senior engineer(s) responsible for the particular project being undertaken. You should have previous design experience and will be using packages such as Hevacomp and Revit.

Being the Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer will need to be able to work closely with clients, closely with clients, architects and other members of the professional team you will take an active role in establishing the brief of projects.

The need is for an Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer who is an enthusiastic self-motivated person that can work on own initiative and seek assistance when required, organise and prioritise workload to ensure that time scales are met. Plus provide project support for varied project workload, developing and specifying applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes.

For this role of Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer you will need to manage your own time with regard to the client’s duties, where punctual project delivery is essential, for which you will be offered good salary and package.
