Location: Kent – Full time office
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum

About Us:
We are a small, dynamic MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Building Services consultancy based in Kent, providing bespoke design and consultancy services to a range of commercial and residential clients. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, innovative solutions in the built environment. As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team with a talented 2D AutoCAD Technician to join us on a permanent basis.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled 2D AutoCAD Technician to support our team in creating and developing technical drawings for MEP systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AutoCAD, be detail-oriented, and have experience in the building services industry. You will be responsible for producing accurate and high-quality drawings for both commercial and residential projects, working closely with the engineers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings for MEP systems, including layout plans, schematics, and details.
- Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are accurately represented in the drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of design documentation and specifications.
- Maintain and organize drawing files and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Ensure that drawings are compliant with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Support the project team with any ad-hoc technical requirements.
- Assist with the review and modification of designs based on feedback from senior engineers.
- Ensure the efficient delivery of drawings to meet project deadlines.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD (essential).
- Previous experience in a similar AutoCAD Technician role within MEP building services (desirable).
- Understanding of MEP systems and building services design principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with UK building regulations and industry standards (desirable).
Desirable Skills:
- Experience using other CAD software (Revit, MicroStation, etc.) is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems would be beneficial.
